You Bet

In a world without lines, can a person logically bet on a team that they predict to lose?

For example, if you predict the Patriots to win to tomorrow, can you reasonably bet on the Ravens? Can you both predict the Patriots will win and simultaneously think the Ravens have a better chance? And, if you think the Ravens have a better chance of winning, can you reasonably bet against them? In other words, can you, without lying, suggest that you predict one time will win, but yet bet you life on the other team????
